Now, in News I Didn’t Think I Would Be Sharing: Fortune has smiled upon us and our dispute for our vow renewal deposit ended with the bank finding in our favor.

When we put in the dispute, even Navy Federal told us that because it was an ACH transfer, not a debit or credit card charge, and because the transaction was over six months ago, it would be highly unlikely we would get anything back. Even if they did find in our favor, we might get back a fraction of the total. When I Googled it, one search result estimated our odds of getting all of our money back was around 10%.

But somehow, Dan got the email yesterday stating the credit they had issued us at the beginning of the dispute was now permanent and our case was closed. So excited and relieved we were able to get our money back.

I hope the other people who had contracts they weren’t honoring were able to file disputes as well.
