Guess What? No, Guess!

We got our venue back!!

Museum people truly are the salt of the earth. I had talked to them about our situation and told them that we weren’t going to continue with the vow renewal after the venue management company bailed and decided not to give our deposit back. The museum said the company had basically ghosted them months ago and when they got an email from Boxwood stating they were bankrupt and walking away from everyone they had booked, that was the first they heard of what was happening to the company.

Last week, the events coordinator from the Heard Museum called me and said they were willing to offer us the venue at a discount. We would have to get our own caterer, but that was completely fine with us. We would have preferred that from the beginning. The discount was exactly what our deposit had been. So we could still have our vow renewal without losing anything.

Salt of the earth, I tell you!

When we rebooked, we decided to move our date back a year. It made more sense for us and gives us time to take care of the things we need to do before the big day.

So excited to be able to hold our vow renewal after all. It’s going to be beautiful!
